TinyOS is based on Windows IoT and was developed by NTDev. It utilizes an official valid Windows iso and removes the unnecessary programs and features that brings Windows OS to use more system memory and storage space than necessary. The core of the OS is intact with system tools are available to use, including PowerShell, CMD, Disk Management, etc. The drawback of TinyOS is that Windows cannot update with the latest service packs, Cumulative updates and the Microsoft store is not available to use. Windows Update does install latest drivers and security patches.
